    What a delightful book The protaganist has a very real person with shades of black and white Raju evolves as life takes different turns for him There is also a sweet second meaning to the title of 'The Guide Once when he played the role of Rai

    I loved The Guide than Malgudi Days and Swami and his friends The characters do not have any pseudo coating and are very much a raw human ; with all of their shades convincing us in every scene
